Angela Pow Koenig

We were informed by her son, Robert J. Koenig that his mother, Angela Pow Koenig died on March 3rd in Tenerife, the Canary Islands. She had studied Economics at St. Hughs College.

As this article written about her in New York newsday mentions (see link, below),

"Angela Koenig was many things - publisher, environmentalist, gifted fund-raiser, a champion for seniors. But the driving force behind her deeds, those who knew her said, was her invariable commitment to give. 'She was probably involved in just about every piece of nonprofit life on Long Island"

We send our condolences to Robert and her family

Patrick Wyatt - PPE graduate from Corpus Christi

I got this from Patrick Wyatt - who has a First Class degree in PPE from Corpus, Oxford.

His resume is below, or in this link.

Patrick Wyatt Resume

He writes:

I wondered if you might find the time to offer me a little advice about job opportunities in New York? I'd be very grateful for any suggestions.

I graduated last June, with a PPE degree from Corpus, and I'm studying in Toronto this year. I'm not very thrilled about the prospect of working in London, but I'm finding it rather hard to find positions abroad. I've missed the major graduate hiring initiatives, which happened in the autumn, and it seems that many companies aren't willing to consider inexperienced candidates who need work permits (I'm a UK citizen). I'm interested in jobs in finance or consulting. (I attach my CV).

Can you suggest any possible approaches? (Or should I reconcile myself to going back home!).

Many thanks,
Patrick

Anthony Caputi - Merton College

Adrienne McNair wrote to tell us that her husband - Anthony Caputi has been admitted into a home with extended care.

She writes,

Tony had a Student Fulbright Fellowship to Merton College at Oxford in 1954-55 where he worked on his dissertation with the help of the great scholar in English literature, F. P. Wilson. He considered it the high point of his academic training. Although he was invited to remain another academic year, he returned to the States because he was married, with a child, and he wished to pursue his career. In his later years he was proud to be a contributing member of the Oxford Alumni Association, one of the very few charitable organizations he supported. I have also noticed that when he dresses to look his very best he always chooses his Mertonian tie. We do so appreciate your concern for his health.

I wrote to Adrienne to let her know that we would all be praying for Tony's wellbeing.
