OAANY BOP! October 8, 2009

The event, which took place at the popular East Village bar Arlo & Esme, drew a slew of happy revelers in costumes harking back to their school days. The DJ played a mix of kitsch classics and hip hop and the floor was crowded with people dancing like it was... well, we won't reveal what years we were in school, but suffice to say it was less painful the second time around without the braces and bad skin.

Fifth Oxford-Cambridge Alumni Boat Race - Saturday, August 29th, 2009

OAANY and Cambridge in America hosted the fifth Oxford-Cambridge Alumni Boat Race on Saturday, August 29th at the Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport, Connecticut.

Because of inclement weather, we were able to boat just one mixed eight from each University. The crews competed in two races, and Cambridge emerged victorious both times, cheered on by fans who braved the rain and wind to watch the race.

After the races, alumni, friends and family members gathered for an (indoor) barbecue lunch and lively conversation at the Saugatuck Rowing Club.

4th Annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race

4th Annual Boat Race
Thank you to rowers and spectators alike who came out to the 4th Annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race on Saturday September 13th at the Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport, Connecticut. The weather was excellent for rowing, although the cloud cover varied throughout the day. Cambridge proved to be the stronger group on this day, winning every race. If Saman Majd hadn't broken his oar during the Men's race, it might have been taken by Oxford!
